LL7 Primary Treatment

This patient came in for routine treatment for the LL7. The margins were subgingival and the GDP wanted a second opinion and treatment. We built up a composite core prior to access and progressed to obturate and place an amalgam core for the GDP to crown within 2 weeks.
We decided to treat this over multiple visits and re-treat just the mesial canals to see if his symptoms decreased. We did not want to risk instrumenting the distal if just selective treatment was successful. After RCT 1, his buccal swelling and pain had resolved entirely, and we just retreated his mesial canals.
He later went on to replace the space with dental implants with Dr Marques.
