Why implants

The closest thing to your natural teeth

Unlike a denture or a conventional bridge, an implant replaces the root of the tooth, so it stays put, protects your jaw and lets you forget it's even there.

Stable & permanent

Fixed firmly into the bone, an implant won't slip or click like a denture, so you can eat, speak and laugh with total confidence.

Protects your jaw

The implant acts as an artificial root, stimulating the bone and helping to preserve it, so your face keeps its natural shape.

Kind to your other teeth

Unlike a traditional bridge, an implant stands on its own, there's no need to cut down or rely on the healthy teeth beside it.

Made to last

With good care and regular check-ups, implants can last for decades, often a lifetime, and are backed by our 5-year guarantee.

Full-mouth & full-arch implants

A whole new smile on as few as four implants

If you've lost most or all of your teeth, or you're tired of a denture that slips and clicks, a full arch of fixed teeth can be secured on just four to six implants per jaw. It's the closest thing to having your own teeth back: stable, comfortable and there to stay.

Fixed, not removable

Your new teeth are anchored to the implants, no plates, no adhesive and nothing to take out at night.

Eat and speak with confidence

A secure, stable bite lets you enjoy the food you love and speak freely, without worrying about your teeth moving.

Planned around you

Every full-mouth case is mapped in 3D from a CBCT scan, so we can show you the plan and give you a clear, bespoke quotation before anything begins.

What we treat

Whether it's one tooth or a full arch

Single tooth

One missing tooth replaced with a single implant and crown, without touching the teeth on either side.

Several teeth

Two or more implants supporting a fixed bridge to restore a run of missing teeth.

Full arch / full mouth

A fixed arch of teeth secured on four to six implants, a permanent, stable alternative to a loose denture.

Bone grafting & sinus lift

Not enough bone? We can rebuild the foundation so that implants become possible, including in more complex cases.

Advanced treatment

Planned in 3D, placed with guided precision

We plan every implant digitally before treatment begins. A cone-beam CT (CBCT) scan builds a 3D model of your jaw, nerves and sinuses, which we combine with a digital scan of your teeth to plan the position of each implant.

In selected cases, that plan is turned into a custom surgical guide. Where guided surgery is the right approach, we can use magnetic, stackable guides that seat precisely and repeatably, helping place the implant at the planned position, angle and depth. Not every case needs a guide, and your dentist will advise the technique best suited to you.

01

CBCT 3D scan

A low-dose cone-beam CT captures your jaw in three dimensions, revealing bone volume, nerves and sinuses in fine detail.

02

Digital planning

We merge the CBCT with a digital scan of your teeth to plan the ideal position of every implant on screen.

03

Surgical guide (when used)

Where guided surgery is appropriate, your plan becomes a custom, magnetic stackable guide that locates precisely over your teeth or ridge.

04

Careful placement

Your implant is placed exactly as planned, using a guide where appropriate, accurately and gently to the surrounding tissue.

An implant assessment with Dr Anish Patel is complimentary. A consultation with our implant surgeon, Dr Jordi Marques, is £125 and includes a CBCT 3D scan where clinically needed; the fee is fully deductible from your treatment if you proceed. Guided surgery is used in selected cases, and your dentist will advise the right approach for you.

The process

Your implant journey, step by step

Carefully planned, comfortable and completely transparent, you'll know exactly what to expect from the very first appointment.

02

Precise, guided placement

Using your 3D plan, the implant is placed under local anaesthetic through a comfortable, minimally invasive procedure.

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

How much do dental implants cost at Pimlico Dental?

Our single dental implants start from £2,495, which includes your SwedenMartina titanium implant and a natural-looking zirconia crown. An implant assessment with Dr Anish Patel is complimentary. If you choose a consultation with our implant surgeon, Dr Jordi Marques, this is £125 (including a CBCT 3D scan where needed) and is deductible from your treatment if you proceed. The exact price depends on the tooth being replaced and your individual needs, and you receive a full written quotation before any treatment begins.

Am I suitable for dental implants?

Most adults in good general and gum health are suitable for dental implants. At your assessment we take a 3D scan to assess the amount and quality of bone available. Where there is not enough bone, we also offer bone grafting and sinus lift procedures to make implants possible, including in more complex cases.

Can I replace a full mouth or a whole arch of teeth with implants?

Yes. If you are missing all or most of your teeth, or wear a loose denture, a full arch of fixed teeth can be supported on as few as four to six implants per jaw. It is a stable, permanent alternative to a removable denture, letting you eat, speak and smile with confidence. Every full-mouth case is planned in 3D from a CBCT scan, using guided surgery where appropriate, and you receive a bespoke written quotation before any treatment begins.

What is guided implant surgery?

Guided surgery means your implants are planned digitally in 3D from a CBCT (cone-beam CT) scan and a scan of your teeth, then placed using a custom surgical guide. In suitable cases we use magnetic, stackable guides that locate precisely and repeatably, helping place each implant at the planned position, angle and depth. It is one of the techniques we use, in selected cases, and can make treatment more predictable and comfortable.

Does getting a dental implant hurt?

Implant placement is carried out under local anaesthetic, so you should not feel pain during the procedure. Afterwards it is normal to have some mild discomfort or swelling, which is easily managed with ordinary pain relief. Many patients find it more comfortable than having a tooth taken out and return to their usual routine the next day.

How long does dental implant treatment take?

Timescales vary from person to person. After the implant is placed it needs time to integrate with the bone, usually a few months, before your final crown, bridge or denture is fitted. A temporary solution can often be provided in the meantime. We give you a clear, personalised timeline at your assessment.

How long do dental implants last?

With good oral hygiene and regular check-ups, dental implants can last for many years, often decades and in many cases a lifetime. The crown or bridge the implant supports may need replacing over time due to normal wear. We offer a full 5-year guarantee on all dental implants, provided you attend review and hygiene appointments with us every 6 months.

How successful are dental implants?

Dental implants are a well-established treatment with a long track record. How well an implant does depends on where in the jaw it sits, your general and gum health, whether you smoke, and how well it is looked after afterwards. We will talk through what that means in your case at your assessment.

Can I replace several or all of my missing teeth with implants?

Yes. As well as replacing a single tooth, implants can support a bridge to replace several teeth, or secure a denture to restore a full arch, giving a stable, comfortable result without relying on neighbouring teeth.

How do I care for my dental implants?

Look after your implants just like natural teeth: brush and floss daily and keep up regular hygiene appointments. The implant and crown cannot decay, but healthy gums around the implant are essential to its long-term success.

Will my dental implant look natural?

Yes. Your final zirconia crown is shaped and shade-matched to your surrounding teeth, so it blends seamlessly into your smile and looks and functions like a natural tooth.
