Why clear aligners
Clear aligners have become the adult's way to straighten teeth, because they fit around your life, not the other way around.
Clear, custom-made aligners most people simply won't notice, straighten your teeth without it showing.
Take them out to eat, drink and brush as normal, no food restrictions and easy to keep clean.
Smooth, metal-free aligners with no brackets or wires to rub against your cheeks and gums.
A 3D digital plan previews your expected result before you commit, so you know where you're heading.
The Process
From your first conversation to your final retainer, here's exactly what to expect from clear aligner treatment at Pimlico Dental, whatever system is right for you.
We'll assess your teeth, discuss your goals, and give you an honest assessment of whether clear aligners are right for you, all at no cost.
We take precise digital impressions and use 3D planning software, Invisalign's ClinCheck or Spark's Approver, to map out your treatment and show you your expected result.
Your custom aligners arrive in a series. Wear each set for 1–2 weeks and swap to the next. Remove to eat, drink and clean.
Treatment typically takes 6–18 months. We'll fit your retainers to hold your new smile in place for the long term.
Leading aligner systems
We work with several leading clear-aligner systems, so your treatment is matched to your teeth rather than to whatever a practice happens to stock. At your orthodontic assessment we'll recommend the best fit for your case.
The world's most established clear aligner, using SmartTrack material and ClinCheck digital planning to handle everything from mild crowding to more complex cases.
A newer aligner made from clear, stain-resistant TruGEN™ material that stays discreet throughout the day and is trimmed for comfort at the gumline.
A dentist-led aligner system with digital planning and monitoring between visits, well suited to a range of everyday cases.
A modern global aligner system with comfortable, precise materials, giving us another way to tailor treatment to your smile.
Why Choose Us
With over 1,500 cases treated, our clinicians plan every case in detail and recommend the right aligner system for you, so you're in experienced hands from day one.
Is it right for me?
From simple tweaks to more involved cases, clear aligners correct a wide range of concerns. The surest way to know is an orthodontic assessment, we'll assess your teeth and tell you honestly.
Teeth that overlap or sit out of line because there isn't quite enough room, gently guided into place.
Spaces between the teeth closed up for a more even, confident smile.
Many overbite, underbite and crossbite cases can be improved with aligner treatment.
Teeth that have drifted since previous orthodontic work, straightened again discreetly.
Real results
Real transformations from clear-aligner patients treated here at Pimlico Dental.
Every case shown is a real patient treated at Pimlico Dental, published with their consent. These images illustrate outcomes for specific patients, every mouth is different, and your own result depends on your individual circumstances, which we assess at an assessment.
Behind the treatment
Some teeth will not move with aligners alone. These are photographs from Dr Alejandro's own cases, showing the fixed and removable appliances, anchorage and planning he uses when a case needs more than a set of trays.
Appliance designed on the working model, a 3D-printed guide used to position the palatal mini-screws, the mini-screw itself, then the finished appliance in place.
Serial views of the upper arch during treatment, showing the anchorage and traction mechanics used to guide a canine into the arch.
Intraoral views showing the appliance in place on the upper left, with occlusal views of the arch through treatment.
Clinical photographs of treatment carried out at the practice, shared with patient consent. They show appliances and treatment in progress rather than finished results, and are examples only. Individual results vary and every case is assessed on its own merits.
Transparent pricing
Clear aligner treatment starts from £3,500, depending on the system chosen and how much movement your teeth need. An orthodontic assessment with Dr Alejandro is £125. Because every case is different, we confirm the right aligner system and a fixed, all-in price in writing at that assessment, before anything begins. If you would rather talk things through first, a consultation with one of our general dentists is complimentary.
Common Questions
Some patients notice mild pressure when switching to a new set of aligners, this is completely normal and a sign the treatment is working. It typically eases within a day or two. Most patients find clear aligners considerably more comfortable than traditional braces.
Treatment duration depends on the complexity of your case. Simpler cases typically take 3–6 months, while comprehensive treatment ranges from 12–18 months on average. We'll give you a more accurate timeline at your orthodontic assessment, once we have seen your teeth.
Yes, one of the biggest advantages of clear aligners is that they are fully removable. Simply take them out to eat, drink anything other than water, and clean your teeth. You must wear them for a minimum of 22 hours per day for optimal results.
Clear aligners are made from virtually invisible medical-grade plastic. Most people simply won't notice. Depending on your case, we may use small tooth-coloured attachments, but these are also barely visible in everyday social situations.
Clear aligners are suitable for the vast majority of crowding, spacing and bite issues. The best way to find out is an orthodontic assessment, where we can properly assess your teeth. Very complex bite problems may occasionally require alternative orthodontic treatment.
Once treatment is complete we'll fit retainers to hold your new smile in place. Retainers are included with your treatment. We recommend wearing them nightly to maintain your result long-term, teeth naturally tend to shift over time without retention.
